On May 17th, the Thetis, 36, Captain the Hon. Alexander Forester Inglis Cochrane, and Hussar, 28, Captain John Poor Beresford, captured off Cape Henry two large French storeships of a squadron of five. The names of the prizes were the Prevoyante and Raison. The British loss was eleven wounded.
