Died on the 7th inst, at his house in Camberwell-grove, Surry, Vice-Admiral Sir Wm Mitchell, KCB, in he 71st year of his age. This gallant officer commanded with great credit HM ship Isis, in the action off Camperdown. [Hampshire Telegraph, 18 March 1816]
