Promotions: Capt A P Hamilton to the rank of Post-Captain; Lieuts R W Parsons and John Paynter, of the Boyne, to the rank of Commander; Messrs Jago and Cummings, also of the Boyne, to the rank of Lieutenant; Lieut Edmund Nepean, superannuated, with rank of Commander; Lieuts E J Cuvell and W C Harris ar placed on the out pension list of Greenwich.
