Portsmouth, 3 February 1816: Captain T G Caulfield is appointed to the Malta guard-ship, at Plymouth, vice Capt C Ogle, appointed to the Rivoli, guard-ship, at this port. Capt Hawtayne is appointed to the Scamander; Captain Sir John Louis, Eurotas; Captain S Chambers, Dee; Capt Lewis Hole, Tay. Lieut M M Wroot is appointed to the Active; Lieutenants H A Eliot, G F Lyon, G Cheyne, and G S Smith, to the Albion. Mr G Johnston to be Surgeon of the Albion; Mr R Daly to be Surgeon of the Queen; Mr John Archdeacon, Purser , and gthe Rev John Morgan, to the Queen. [Hampshire Telegraph, 5 February 1816]
