Found death date of Dec 3, 1785 on "London, England, Church of England Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1538-1812, Page 38 of 94 (16). "Sir Walter Stirling - "Paid 5.5 pounds for burial in the Chancel - on the north side of the altar is the family vault of Sir Walter Stirling of Faskine, Scotland...The Willing (?sp) moved into the said vault Dec 6, 1786 - the entrance into the said vault is on the south side of the pillar next to the step near the altar". Unfortunately, there was no mention as to what church he was buried in.
