He was aboard HMS Severn August 1804:(ADM 1/1726/44)

Folios 104-105: Philip D'Auvergne, HMS Severn, Jersey. Covering letter for the two enclosed letters. He would be very happy in having Lieutenant Abraham Gosset [Gossett] again under his Command.

Folios 106-107: enclosure with folios 104-105. Letter dated 15 August 1804 by Peter Giles Pickernell, HMS Severn, to Commodore Philip D'Auvergne, Duke of Bouillon. Lieutenant Gosset [Gossett] having proposed an exchange with him into HMS Gelykheid [Gelikheid]. Requests the joint request be submitted.

Folios 108-109: enclosure with folios 104-105. Letter dated 15 August 1804 by Abraham Gosset [Gossett], Jersey, to Commodore Philip D'Auvergne, Duke of Bouillon. Having just received an appointment to HMS Gelykheid [Gelikheid] and understanding that Lieutenant Peter Giles Pickernell of HMS Severn would have no objection to an exchange with him. Makes this joint request of Lieutenant Peter Giles Pickernell and himself for permission to exchange.
