An order is issued at the Admiralty for bringing Captain Moultrie of the Ramilies, to a Court Martial, for the late misfortune that befell the outward bound East and West India-fleets under his convoy. This trial of that officer is said to arise from Captain Mann of the Cerberus, having fell in with the English fleet, four days before their capture, and informed Captain Moultrie of the latitude in which he had a few days before seen the combined fleets, and the direct course they were steering, without such information producing the intended effect. Commodore Johnstone is likewise reported to have sent him the same cautionary intelligence. [Exeter Flying Post, 10 November 1780]
