A search of Horatio Beauman Young RN 1806-1879 indicates that from 14 July 1871 he was Retired Vice-Admiral and from 1 August 1877 he was Retired Admiral. Cheers, David

Correction: Elizabeth was the daughter of Samuel Pretor and his wife Frances Dowding

Date of death is 17 December 1879
He married in 1860 Elizabeth Prator daughter of John and Jane Prator
