Oops! I see that John Boston of Saint Andrew, Holborn, was born in 1730. So he is not the John of Wells, Maine, but may be a relative.

This John Batson may be the same man who is listed as a ship builder in 1728 in Wells, Maine, now USA, in *The Genealogical and Personal Memoirs relating to the Families of Boston and Eastern Massachusetts*, Vol. III, 1908. John is listed under the surname title "Baston, Batson, and Boston."
