London, 27 January 1802: Letters from Malta of the date of the 23d ult bring an account of the death of Capt John Elphinstone, of the navy, Captain of the fleet under the command of Admiral Lord Keith. That excellent officer and valuable man died on the 17th of last month, universally regretted. [Hampshire Chronicle, 1 February 1802]
