Whilst investigating the history of our house in Norton, Isle of Wight, we looked at the Tithe map and records (c1836) and it would appear that Captain Richard Crozier was living at St Johns Cottage (now known as Cracknells). It was owned by Sir Graeme Eden Hamond, at about the time that he became vice admiral and shortly before Captain Richard Crozier married

Crozier born born in Bombay not Isle of Wight. West Hill was the family home/estate. See his entry in 1861 census for confirmation.

In fact this family of the Isle of Wright are distinct from the Croziers of Francis Crozier of North West Passage Fame

Is there any connection with Capt. Francis Crozier of HMS Terror fame?
