Union was one of the most succefull proivaters of the Jersey.

That Lloyd's List - Friday 28 April 1815
The Aeolus,Hocquard,from Jersey Ato richat, was spoken with instant, in lat, 48. 46. long, 16. 53 by the Cambridge , Evans, arrived in the river from Havannah

There was at Jersey such fimily with French origins.
