London, 25 February 1802: Yesterday advice was received at the India House of the safe arrival in the Downs of the ship Hinde, Captain Catline, from Bengal, a regular rice ship; she left the pilot the 20th September; arrived at the island of St Helena the 31st December, and sailed the 3d of January. The Hinde left at Bengal, the William Pitt, Captain Richard Owen; the William Dent, Captain Giles Musson; the Automacia, Captain Anthony Curtis; and the Experiment, Captain John N Whyte. The above ships were to sail from Bengal with rice, in October. [The Morning Chronicle, 25 February 1802]
