Died, Capt J R L Dickinson, of his Majesty’s ship Penguin, in his 29th year, on the 23d of March last, off Tristam d’Acunha, in an action with the American sloop of war Hornet. He received a mortal wound while in the act of rallying the men to prepare to board. [Hampshire Telegraph, 10 July 1815]
