The Old Parish Register of Burntisland in Fife showing the birth of Peter's son John (Scotland's People ref: 411 20 / 153) reads:
"March 29th 1738 Was born John Cowe Son to Peter Cowe Master of the Kings Sloop the Terrible & Mrs Christian Robertson his Spouse & baptized at Newbigging Aprill 14th by an Episcopal Minister in Ed[inbu]r[gh] Mr McKenzie Witnesses George Robertson of Newbigging & his Lady & others"
The OPR for the birth of his daughter, also in Burntisland (Scotland's People ref: 411 20 / 208), reads:
"Capt[ain] Peter Cowe & Mrs Christian Robertson had a daughter born 15th May 1755 named Christian Ann"
His daughter Agatha Cowe married Captain David Boog RN (will as mentioned above, proved 4.11.1773, ref: PROB 11/992/145)
