Hello, I'm College Recorder at Pembroke College, University of Cambridge. I just wanted to let you know that a research paper has been released today by one of our academics, Professor Renaud Morieux, which is about letters he stumbled upon written by family members of the crew of the Galatée, which were passed onto the Admiralty by the French postal service when the ship was captured but never passed on to the men. Eventually, they ended up at the National Archives at Kew. The paper has been published in the French history journal Annales. The University of Cambridge has a story and video on the news section of its website, titled 'Love lost and found'. I hope this is helpful in some way.
