Le Saale ➡ 1814 Amphitrite ➡ 1815 Saale ➡ 1815 Amphitrite

According to Mʳ Jean-Michel Roche's «Dictionnaire des bâtiments de la flotte de guerre française de Colbert à nos jours», tome I (1671-1870), that ship wasn’t stricken until 1818. That book isn’t avalaible anymore, yet on his website Mʳ Roche provides links to free downloading of two pdf's, each including all the ships which name began by the letter A of both volumes of his work. About la Salle / l’Amphitrite, it reads:
«AMPHITRITE - Frégate de 40 canons type Armide (1814 - 1818)
Observations : Voir SAALE.»

The name of that ship was «la Saale», not «le Saale» (in Ftench, both «le» [lə] and «la» [la] mean «the», for nouns in the singular, the first one with masculine nouns, the other with feminine ones); see, e.g., Pierre Le Conte, Répertoire des navires de guerre français, Cherbourg, 1932, pp. 31 and 138 (can be read online on gallica bnf fr).
