Commissioner George St. Lo, Hamoaze. Today the St. Malo drove on the mud in a storm, but he hopes there is not too much damage.

Receipt of directions to fit the ship for a voyage to Barbados, they have not received the two months' advance money, nor money from the Victuallers, and as each owner has suffered loss at Newfoundland, they request money or order of credit at Plymouth.

They complain about the deviation from the charter party which is that, on discharge, the ship is to be returned to the River Thames, but Captain Pollard reports all his men were taken by the Commissioner, so if damage occurs to the ship, they will hold the Board responsible unless men bring the ship to their port so that they are not disappointed in a voyage to Newfoundland as there are no men available at Plymouth.
