Is this the same Ship?
Bellona, Armed Ship 20gun (6pdrs)+ 12 swivles, Built by Mark Pye at Stockton-on-Tees for the Government, Launched 8/12/1778. Left the Tees Oct. 1779, Commander Francis Tinsley RN, bound for Hull.

Lost in Texel River, either Apr. or Dec. 1780 on first active voyage. On Convoy Escort duties Hull to Heligoland. Poor weather, strong winds and frequent Hail squalls obscured sea and landmarks when close to Heligoland. Driven onto sandbank, started to fill with water very rapidly. Unable to free herself or clear the ship of water she was abandoned as a wreck.
