Marseilles, 7 May 1765: The Topaze and Hirondelle frigates, with the two bomb ketches, that were arming at Toulon, in order to join the combined French and Spanish squadrons at Cadiz, had sailed from thence about a week before, and as soon as they arrive at the place of rendezvous, it was supposed would proceed directly, in conjunction with the said fleet, against some of the Moorish settlements on the coast of Barbary.
