On the 25th Instant, his Majesty's Ship the Grand Turk, commanded by Captain Kerly cruizing between the Lizard and Scilly , fell in with the Tavignon, a privateer of St Malo of 24 guns, and 120 men, and began to engage her about One o'Clock ; the Privateer, after two or three broadsides, was for making off but her rigging and sails being much shattered, and finding he could not get away she struck about Four, and is brought into Plymouth . The privateer had one man killed, and several wounded and the Grand Turk had not a man hurt.
