Copy of a letter from Rear Admiral Harvey, to Mr. Nepean, dated Prince of Wales, Fort Royal Bay, Martinique, tbe 11th of April, 1798.
SIR, I pleased to acquaint their Lordships, that His Majesty's Ship Amphitrite, Captain Ekins, captured, the 3d Instant, to Windward of Barbadoes, La Violetta French Privateer Sloop, belonging to Guadaloupe, of 6 guns and 36 men, which he sent into Barbadoes. She had been out several days, but had not made any captures.
