MY LORD, Cambrian at Sea, May 5, 1800.

I have the honor to inform you that His Majesty's Ship under my command captured this morning, in company with the Fisgard, Le Dragon, a French Brig Corvette, of 10 guns, pierced for 14, and 72 men, commanded by Monsieur Lachurie, Lieutenant de Vaisseau ; she is 2 days from Rochefort bound to Guadeloupe with dispatches.
