Extract of a letter from Vice-Admiral Kingfmill, Commander in Chief of His Majesty's Ships and Vessels on the Coast of Ireland, to Evan Nepean, Esq; dated on board the Penguin, Cork Harbour, tbe 3d of September,

Please to inform my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty, that His Majesty's Ship Doris has sent in a Spanish Privateer Lugger, of 4 guns, besides swivels and small arms and 85 men, El Derrepente, of Bilboa, which she captured in Latitude 46 deg. 30 .min. Longitude 10 deg. 36 min. This Privateer had taken 2 danish vessels

A further check of the London Gazette found this:

July 7, 1798.

Pursuant to an Act of Parliament of the Thirty third of His present Majesty, Notice is hereby given, that Accounts of Sales of Du Gay Trouin, French Privateer, captured the 15th of July, 1797, the Derrepente, Spanish Privateer, captured tbe 26th of August, 1797, the Fabius, French Privateer, captured the 4th of September, 1797, and the Brune, French
Privateer, captured the l0th of October, 1797, by His
Majesty's Ship Doris, and condemned in the High Court of Admiralty, will be delivered into the Registry of the said Court.

so neither date is the actual date of capture.

Date of capture shown as 1798 but Notes show it should be 1797.
