BGHis Majesty's Ship Shannon, off Isle Bas , MY LORD, 27th January 1809
I have the honour to inform you the Shannon captured this day, after a long chase to Leeward, the French Cutter Pommereuil, of 14 guns and 60 men, commanded by Felix L'Allemande; 14 days out from Havre de Grace, and had only captured a Transport with Troops, which she released. I have sent the prize to Plymouth. She is a fine new vessel, coppered and well found.
