London, 27 February 1802: Yesterday a Court of Directors of the East India Company, and a Committee of Shipping were held at the India House, which adjourned to Wednesday next. The Court have appointed the China fleet to be in the Downs on the 10th of next month, consisting of the David Scott, Captain Charles Jones; the Glatton, Captan Macnamara; the Ceres, Captain Dunsford; the Royal Charlotte, Captain Patterson; and the Brunswick, Captain Philip Hughes.

Portsmouth, 11 April 1801: Yesterday went past this port, for the Downs, the Arethusa, of 38 guns, Capt Wolley, from the Cape of Good Hope, with the following homeward-bound East-Indiamen and whalers under convoy, viz Princess Mary, Scalesby Castle, Walmer Castle, Upton Castle, Thames, Cuffnells, Royal Charlotte, and Bengal Anna, Indiamen; Aurora and Hillsborough whalers.
