Possibly -Portsmouth, 11 November 1815: A Court-martial was held on Monday last on board the Queen Charlotte, Captain Sir Archibald Collingwood, Dickson, Bart, President, for the trial of William Saunders, Samuel Wickham, George Eastern, John Hodgson, and Peter Paulet, seamen, belonging to the Dispatch, for mutinous conduct, in refusing to unmoor the brig, , and proceed to sea when ordered, on the 31st ult; and the charges being proved, they were all sentenced to be hanged. The Court, however, in consideration of the former excellent characters of W Saunders, S Wickham, G Eastern, and J Hodgson, most earnestly recommended them to to the favourable consideration of the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty. These men are said to be fine young seamen, and, as well as the whole crew of the Dispatch, bore very good characters, particularly while employed on the coast of America, until this unfortunate occurrence.
