Trusty

Most definately not a Royal Navy vessel. There was no Trusty in 1820.
It is possible that it was a revenue vessel, while I can find no record of a Trusty, Lieutentant Edward Hour Fitzmaurice was commanding the revenue cutter Scout in 1827 (from the navy list) which points in that direction.

I have a record of HMS Trusty being in Milford Haven in 1820/1 commanded by Lt Fitzaurice. Any comments?

22 Mar 1802 a Court Martial was held on board the Gladiator, in Portsmouth harbour, to try Serjeant Charles Cubitt, of the Trusty, for drunkenness and neglect of duty. The charges were fully proved, but, in consideration of his very good character, and particularly for his conduct in the mutiny of the Nore, in supplying the Officers with arms, &c. he was only adjudged to be severely reprimanded.
Circa 25 May 1802 Mr. D. C. Young, Purser of the Trusty, is appointed to the Colossus74, building at Deptford.

30 May 1800 Portsmouth, a Court Martial was held on board the Gladiator, for the trial of John Goodman, a private Marine belonging to the Trusty, for robbery, desertion, and quitting his post when sentinel and Thomas Hilton, a seaman of the same ship, for assisting the said John Goodman in taking away a ship's boat, and for robbery and desertion. The Court being of opinion that the charges had been proved against the prisoners, John Goodman was sentenced to suffer death and Thomas Hilton to receive 500 lashes and forfeit all his pay.
