On January 5th 1814, Cattaro, in the Adriatic, surrendered, after a ten days' cannonade, to the Bacchante, 38, Captain William Hoste, and Saracen, 18, Commander John Harper. The ships lost only one seaman killed and Lieutenant of Marines William Haig wounded
