1.7.1756 Court martialed on the Saint George in Portsmouth harbour for purchasing more stores than necessary and removing the fireplace when captain of the Shoreham. He was acquitted of any fraudulent or un-officer like behaviour, but had £50 pounds stopped from his pay for the removal of the fireplace contrary to general instructions.TGM
