There was a Habbakuk Wiles buried at Tynemouth 30 Sep 1667. It is noted in the register: Master. and Mariner. (the ships fired their guns all ye time they brought him up to the Church and all ye time he was burying)

In 1703 Habakkuk Wiles was the Commanding Officer of the transport ship Asia which took soldiers to the West Indies.
On the return voyage the Asia was wrecked at Spithead during the great storm of November 1703 and everyone on board was lost. Does anyone know anything about the Asia?
