born 02 May 1783 Greenwich; died 1821 details unknown. source for birth: Greenwich Parish Records baptisms. Joined the ship Agamemnon in 1794 as a young volunteer. His father William Collett served as Gunner aboard the ship. Mentioned in Nelson's letter in 1801.
