In a letter to his son my Great Grandfather William Henry Geary said he was a second cousin of the Kent Gearys. I wonder if he was an illegitimate child. So far I have found nothing about him except that he was in the Royal Navy and then in the MerchantNavy.

Francis Geary, Vice-Admiral of the Blue, stood for Parliament in Rochester Kent, 16 March 1768, against Mr. John CALCRAFT and Mr. William GORDON. I don't believe he was successful?
