London, 29 January 1750: At a Court-Martial held at Deptford on board his Majesty’s yacht the Charlotte on Friday last, Capt Charles Powlett, late of his Majesty’s ship Tilbury, was honourably acquitted of of every charge exhibited against him, and the Court adjourned to this day week. [Kentish Post, 31 January 1750]
