Interestingly Collingwood "skipped" the rank of Rear Admiral of the Blue. Vacancies in higher ranks after the Glorious 1st of June created the unusual opportunity for him to advance directly from captain to RA of the White in 1799

Please amend Collingwood’s DOB…he was born in Sept 1748 and NOT in 1750 as it states here.
