This gentleman was my 3x great grandfather. I have his photo if you want. His grave and medals are in the cemetery and town hall of St Pierre de Plesguen near San Malo. Streets are named after him in San Malo and St Pierre. He went down in legend as "the last corsair of San Malo." His son Eugene was a civil engineer and inherited the Chediston Hall estate in Suffolk from his mother Marie Claire Parkyns of the Parkyns of Bunny, Nottinghamshire family.
