Might be James Berkeley, 3rd Earl of Berkeley, sometimes known as Viscount Dursley. Easy to misread a long s as an f or t

I have a Swedish reference which syas that he served in the English Navy in the Canal and in the Atlantic "under Lord Durtly" - think this is a transcription error, but can't guess what the correct English name might be - can anyone help?
