During the Quiberon Expedition that unit was known as the 'Régiment "Hector" or the "Marine Royale" : Claude René Pâris, the Count of Soulanges, former Squadron Leader, Knight of Saint-Louis, brother-in-law of Count Charles-Jean d'Hector , is the commander of the Regiment of Hector, during the Quiberon expedition.
