Alexander, in his biography of James Duane, A revolutionary conservative: James Duane of New York, Edward P Alexander; New York State Historical Association (New York, State of), Columbia University Press, New York, 1938., shows Abraham, the second of his name, born in 1732, died 1767. He notes Anthony Duane’s second wife, Althea Keteltas, as the mother of Abraham and his brothers, James, 1733-1797, John 1734-1756, and Cornelius 1736-1781. He also notes as sons of Anthony and his first wife, Eva Bensing, Anthony Jr. 1720-1743 and Richard 1721-1741.
