Result of Cout-Martial for loss of the ElizabethTRN2
...he was sentenced to be cashiered, to forfeit his arrears of pay, and to be imprisoned for life. The last part of the sentence was mercifully remitted, and Cross appears to have spent his old age as an ordinary pensioner in Greenwich Hospital
