Captain [William] Maltby, HMS Glasgow reports to Rear Admiral John Montagu 23 April 1774, Lieutenant F. A. Fortescue died 22 March 1774 while stationed at S. Carolina [probably Charleston]. ADM1/484/157 ff291-293.
