James Kinneer was commander of HMS Lord Amherst, hired Armed Ship, from 22 Feb 1780 to 04 June 1782 (ADM 34/40 & 34/50, Adm 36/9065 with his logs at ADM 51/516 at at NMM in ADM/L/L/280)
