Looks like a typo, been changed

Date of birth as 1777, is surely incorrect? He could not have been only 4 years of age when he entered the navy in 1781! A Navy Biographical Dictionary (WIKISOURCE) records that he died 19 February 1845....in the 78th year of his age.
