Yes, the service information prior to his lieutenancy is new.

Thank you. Have other parts of this record been changed as well? On July 26 I found a William Haddock (first service 1705-died Oct. 1726) on this site. The "Reserve" was not listed on his record then.
Is this the same William or a different one (there were several, but the similarity in death dates would be unusual).

Don't know his parentage, but I have updated his record with data from his passing certificate. At this time they only needed 4 years service to pass.

The captain of both the Reserve and the Swallow during William's service was Richard Haddock. Make of that what you will.

Who were the parents and/or descendants of this William Haddock? There are multiple men by this name in the Haddock family.
