Interesting information! I am a direct descendent of Matthew Marvin who left England on the Increase in April 1635.

I am Captain Sir Thomas Carter Varnell's direct descendent (12 generations). What I do know is that the Increase was part of his Father in Law's (Captain John Flowers) company called the Flowers Shipping and Merchant company. If I find a picture, I'll make another post here to email me. I'm looking to understand where his land grants were in the US and Bermuda. Also, where his children (John Founvielle Varnell, SR) settled before moving to North Carolina. Thomas Varnell married Katherine Flowers in 1616. As I understand, their children are Elizabeth, John F., Anna, and Thomas Jr. I know John F and two of his children came to the US on the Increase.

You're not likely to find a photo since photography didn't get invented until a couple of centuries later, but a painting might be out there somewhere.

John Kent is my 6th Great Grandfather. Trying to find a link to him in England. Came over on the Increase in 1635.

My Great, Great, Great Grandfather 10x, Thomas Blodgett "The immigrant" came over in "The Increase De Lo" (Increase of London) April 18, 1635. Arriving in Boston, Mass. in late July, 1635 (which was an unusually slow voyage) 30-40 days might be average. I'm looking for a clear photo of "The Increase" that is suitable to enlarge and frame. I've seen the small black & white photo that is on most genealogy web-sights but, the more I enlarge it the more blurry it becomes. Does anyone know of another picture of "The Increase" anywhere on the web where I might locate the ship's photo? Wish you all "Fair Winds and Following Seas".
