The 1st Lieutenant on the Galvarino who was killed by Spanish fire at Callao in 1819 was my ancestor Benjamin Sowden Beley.

Galvarino was not directly ex HMS HEcate
Hevcate was sold on 30 Ost 1817 to Mr Parker,
became merchantman Lucy registered 19 Dec 1817 at London
Very probably purchased at Rio by Chilean agent Zanartu.
