Notes on Ship

Fidela armamentsref:668

Given the confusing or non-existent sources it is very difficult to know how the frigate was armed.

Of French origin, more than likely, when she was captured she was armed with 20 guns of unknown calibre.

Other sources give it as English and originally 30 guns.

OriginSWoA

French merchant Fidele captured by Martinet's squadron at Arica.
