I have 3 original insurance policies for George Gooch for the ship Georgiana which I found in a cupboard in the While Hart pub in Giltspur street London in 1974. They are dated 1828, 1830 and 1832

The Asiatic Journal and Monthly Register for BritishI India reported the death of 'John, second son of Aaron Chapman, Esq' as occurring on 19 November1816 on board H.C. Ship Astell' (Vol. IV, 1817, p. 95). Aaron Chapman was a shipowner, of the Chapmans of Whitby.

Astell's captain 1830-31 was not Daniel Lawrence but John Laurence, who was actually John Levy who had changed his name to inherit a bequest.
