The Bristol privateer Alexander letter of Marque declaration is dated 13 August 1745. In "Bristol Privateers and Ships of War" (source ID 1846) the Alexander is listed at 320 tons and 250 men. The retaking of the Solebay occurred on 10 April 1746 according to "Royal Navy: A History" William Laird Clowes
