Admiralty Office, March 12 , 1762.

Captain Schomberg, of His Majesty' Ship the Essex, gives an account, in his letters dated off Ushant, the 1th , 6th , and 7th Instant, of his having taken Les Amis, a French Brig; L'Esperance Privateer of 4 guns, 6 swivels, and 45 men ; and Le Bien Aime Privateer of 4 guns and 52 men, Also, that on the 7th he spoke with 2 ships, both prizes to His Majesty's Ships Fame and Lyon, one L'Ecureuil, a French Frigate of 10 guns, the other a Ship from the Isles of Bourbon.
